The UQ Advantage will provide you with opportunities, choices and support that will enable you to achieve your individual aspirations, to become a leader in your chosen field and to positively impact on the society in which you live. Undergraduate students have the opportunity to apply for the 'UQ Advantage Award', a program that aims to encourage undergraduate students to further develop their skills beyond the classroom and to produce well-rounded, highly sought-after graduates. By participating in the program, you’ll have access to a wide range of activities and training opportunities that can help you to really extend yourself, make the most of your studies, get involved in the community, and prepare for a successful career. www.uq.edu.au/undergraduate/advantage-award
UQ undergraduate students also have the opportunity to participate in the UQ Summer Research Program. This program provides students with an opportunity to engage in formal research projects over the summer semester. By participating in the program, students gain valuable academic and professional skills, develop links with industry and academic contacts, and are able to test drive research before embarking on further research studies or higher degree research projects.
